Shame on You! Malware Bytes Antimalware

MBAM has added definitions to their software that attempts to detect and remove my Remove-it software. They did this in direct retaliation of a post I made in the newsgroups criticizing their new IP blocking technology. I pointed out several flaws and instead of fixing them they block me. I had a friend go through the proper channels and report a false positive. But as soon as it was discovered that the poster knew me MBAM locked the thread and immediately updated their software. You can find that thread here
You will also find that others have reported the same issues here.

It is clear that MBAM has no intention to remove that bad IP address so I have updated my Remove-it software, it will now disable MBAM so you will be able to freely surf to any website you wish. You can download my software from here MBAM has turned their fight against Malware to a personal battle against me SHAME ON YOU MBAM!

Hi. I found you quite by accident, I was watching a review of Comboxfix in youtube and saw an alternative which was a review of your website and your tools. So here I am now.

Malwarebytes: This viewpoint is coming from my gut. I will not use malwarebytes the free or otherwise. I use Combofix, Spybot S & D, Ccleaner and either Avast or AVG for an antivirus.

Many websitss recommended malwarebytes but no one really seems to have any alternatives.

I am an advocate for free open source software. Combofix really does the trick in most cases. But I am wondering who is really behind it as there seems to be no information on its author. A mysterious outfit called Subs.

I find it interesting that the Malwarebytes clan is harassing you in your legitimate effort to add input.

My gut feeling was that Malwarebytes was just another outfit trying to boost their profile but then not really provide a solution.

I spend 80% of my time removing malware and virus issues. I am not certified in anything except years of experience in doing this.

I am interested in your opinion and comments along this line.

Also do you know who is behind the Combofix program? My only woory here is why are they hiding?

I also recently discovered a-squared
an austrian based outfit that seems to have a superior product. I am testing it now.

I know you are busy but any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have been researching malware for over four years now (as a user, not a guru!) and I now wonder how sure one can be that Malwarebytes is run by /good/ guys.

What a super ruse it would be - to clear a machine of everyone else's 'nasties' but then, perhaps, leave their own package installed on the user's machine. No one would ever suspect, would they?

Cybercrime has risen exponentially since Malwarebytes was first founded in 2004.
See: http://www.malwarebytes.org/about.php

It's probably just a coincidence, eh?!! ;-)

Interestingly, Wikipedia says the launch of Malwarebytes was in January 2008.

Just a thought!

Malwarebytes anti-malware is a very good product. I own a small IT business and computer repair shop, and have removed viruses and malware infections from hundreds if not thousands of computers. That having been said, it isn't perfect. No Malware removal tool is that I'm aware of. I'm confused...which applications are written by you and which applications are written by others? It is very unclear on your site, as no credit is given to the authors...

Malwarebytes is a very good and well-tested malware removal tool. There is no logical reason nor any evidence to suspect any malicious intent on the author's part. It's not perfect, but no malware removal tool is. I'm confused...which applications are written by you and which are written by other authors? No credit is given to any of the authors, so it is unclear.

Two years ago when i posted that message MBAM had a lot of issues and a few of their team members had personal issues with me. They have since cleaned up their act, their professionalism, and their image by getting rid of bad employees and making great updates in their product. I have no more issues with them and I recommend MBAM as it is a good product.
